Soybean Futures Market News and Commentary

Soybeans Bouncing Off Early Lows for Midday Strength

Soybeans are showing 2 to 3 cent gains so far on Thursday rallying off the early double digit losses. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price is up 2 3/4 cents at $12.32 1/2. Soymeal futures are $1.30 to $1.70 higher so far on the day, with Soy Oil back up 22 to 30 points.

The weekly Export Sales report from this morning, showed 73,913 MT of 2025/26 soybean sales within estimates of 200,000 MT in net cancellations to net sales of 200,000 MT during the week of 8/20. That was a 3-week low as we approach the end of the marketing year. New crop sales were reported at 2.478 MMT, which was in the higher side of the 1.5-3 MMT estimates. That was a marketing year high and more than double the same week last year.

Soy meal sales were tallied at 427,480 MT, which was in the middle of the estimated range of 200,000 to 800,000 MT, with 104,702 MT for the current marketing year and 322,778 MT for next MY. Bean oil business was pegged at 360 MT for the current marketing year, a... Read more
