Soybean Futures Market News and Commentary

Soybeans Rallying with Product Strength

Soybeans are trading with Friday gains of 17 to 20 cents at midday. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price is up 19 cents at $12.51. Soymeal futures are $8 to $8.20 higher on the day, with Soy Oil back up 230 to 275 points.

USDA reported a private export sale of 182,000 MT to China this morning for 2026/27, with 226,000 MT during the reporting period to unknown. Another 200,000 MT of soybean meal was sold to both Germany and the Netherlands at 100,000 MT each. 

Following reports that the EPA was looking to approve additional small refinery exemptions this week, Reuters reported that the White House is contemplating an increase of quotas for 2027 by 500 million gallons to offset the higher than originally thought exemptions. Nothing has been officially announced by the administration.

The weekly Export Sales report showed old crop soybean sales totaling 41.95 MMT, both shipped and unshipped, down 17% from last year. That is 101% of the USDA export projection... Read more
