Coffee Prices Pressured by the Outlook for a Record Brazil Coffee Crop

May arabica coffee (KCK26) today is down -7.35 (-2.44%), and May ICE robusta coffee (RMK26) is down -159 (-4.43%).

Coffee prices are sharply lower today, with arabica posting a 1-week low and robusta posting a 7.75-month low.   The outlook for a record Brazilian coffee crop is weighing on coffee prices.  Last Thursday, Marex Group Plc projected a record 2026/27 Brazil coffee crop of 75.9 million bags, even higher than Sucafina's forecast of 75.4 million bags, up +15.5% y/y.  Earlier this month, StoneX raised its Brazil 2026/27 coffee production estimate to a record 75.3 million bags, up from a November estimate of 70.7 million bags.

Signs of tighter supplies are supportive for robusta coffee after ICE robusta inventories fell to a 3.5-month low of 4,109 lots today.
