Crude Prices Falter on Dollar Strength and Easing Middle East Tensions

February WTI crude oil (CLG25) Friday closed down -0.80 (-1.02%), and February RBOB gasoline (RBG25) closed down -0.0110 (-0.52%).

Crude prices have a negative carryover from Thursday when Bloomberg reported that advisers to President-elect Trump are crafting a strategy of easing sanctions on Russian energy exports to benefit Russian oil producers and help seal a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.
