Coffee Prices Retreat on an Improved Global Supply Outlook

May arabica coffee (KCK26) on Monday closed down -9.15 (-3.03%), and May ICE robusta coffee (RMK26) closed down -174 (-4.84%).

Coffee prices fell sharply on Monday, with arabica posting a 1-week low and robusta posting a 7.75-month low.   The outlook for a record Brazilian coffee crop is weighing on coffee prices.  Last Thursday, Marex Group Plc projected a record 2026/27 Brazil coffee crop of 75.9 million bags, even higher than Sucafina’s forecast of 75.4 million bags, up +15.5% y/y.  Earlier this month, StoneX raised its Brazil 2026/27 coffee production estimate to a record 75.3 million bags, up from a November estimate of 70.7 million bags.

Losses in coffee prices accelerated on Monday after the dollar index ($DXY) jumped to a 10.5-month high.
