Conrad Egusa
Conrad Egusa is an experienced financial journalist and technology entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Espacio Media Incubator, which has offices in the U.S., Colombia and Spain, and is a Global Mentor at 500 Startups, Techstars, Cardinal Ventures of Stanford University, and Oxford Entrepreneurs. He studied at Santa Clara University and Harvard Business School. Earlier, prior to the financial crisis in 2008, he had received a job offer to work in equity research at Bear Stearns, before pursuing a career in technology. He has traveled extensively across the globe and has written for publications including TechCrunch and VentureBeat. He first got started when he founded an angel-investor backed startup in Silicon Valley while in university. Today he spends much of the year in Latin America with his wife and young daughter. When Medellin was named by Wall Street Journal and Citi as the most innovative city of the year, he had been asked to write the response on behalf of the city.
