Midday wheat prices are trading with double digit gains so far. CBT is trading up 14 1/4 to 17 3/4 cents. KC wheat prices are trading 17 3/4 to 20 3/4 cents higher. Spring wheats are trading 10 3/4 to 16 1/2 cent gains.Â
The Texas state Crop Progress report showed winter wheat conditions at 11% gd/ex and a Brugler500 index of 252. That is a slight improvement over last year’s rating for the same week were 9% and 193 on the Brugler500 index. Visible freeze damage was noted in the report for winter wheat in several areas.
