Russell 2000 E-Mini Futures Market News and Commentary
Morning MarketsDec S&P 500 futures this morning are down by -0.76%. A sell-off in technology stocks in pre-market trading is dragging down the overall market. A jump in T-note yields today has fueled stock valuation concerns and sparked long liquidation in stocks after the 10-year T-note yield jumped to a 3-1/4 month high of 1.550%. Stocks are also being undercut by China’s growth slowdown and a debt crisis in its property market.
Global stocks are mixed. The Euro Stoxx 50 index today is down -1.52%. A surge in global bond yields today is pressuring technology stocks and weighing on the overall market. The 10-year UK Gilt yield jumped to a 1-1/2 year high of 1.060%, and the 10-year German bund yield climbed to a 2-3/4 month high of -0.178%.
