
Beans and soybean oil prices are working through midday on losses. BO futures are down 4.2% to 5.2% so far on triple digit losses. Beans are also 1.3% to 1.8% in the red with ~20c losses. Soy meal is firmer for the complex, gaining $0.70 to $2.30/ton through midday.
The CME Synthetic Soy Crush trending higher during the soy selloff. Sep was quoted at $2.96 1/4 per bushel, with the Dec crush spread at $2.21 1/4 at midday.
USDA announced a private 396k MT sale of soybeans this morning to unknown. USDA announced the regular weekly Export Sales data will be unavailable until Sep 15th, and will revert back to the legacy reporting system until the new system is sufficient.
Trader estimates going into today’s monthly USDA Fats and Oils report expect 180.5 mbu of beans were crushed in July on average. June’s soy crush was 174.1 and July ’21 was 166.3 mbu. Soy oil stocks are expected to be 2.221b lbs in the report.
