Soybean futures are showing gains of 6 to 8 cents this morning. They finished the Wednesday session 9 to 11 cents higher in most contracts. Front month soy meal was up $3.10/ton, with Aug 17 soy oil 29 points higher. Traders are estimating that the USDA export sales report in the morning will run 100,000-300,000 MT for 16/17 sales, with 1.4-1.8 MMT in 17/18 sales, as the confirmed sales following the China trade agreement will be included in this report. For soy meal combined old and new crop sales of 50,000-300,000 MT are expected, with soy oil in the range of 5,000-30,000 MT. Malaysian Palm production in 2017 is expected to rise 10% vs. average production, ranging from 18.7 to 19.5MMT.
