Corn prices added another 2 to 4 1/4 cents to the downside across the front month contracts on Tuesday in lieu of major news developments. New crop December closed at a 51 1/2 cent discount to the spot Dec, compared to a 45c discount earlier this month and a larger than $1 discount back at the contract highs in May. March held on to a 2 1/2 cent carry, with May and July each at a 5c discount contract to contract.Â
Dalian Corn Prices remain strong, rising from 2,841 yuan/MT (~$10.07/bushel) yesterday to 2,853 yuan/MT (~$10.15/bu).Â
Ukraine’s corn harvest was nearing 50% complete.Â
