Cotton futures are heading lower at midday, pulling back from early week gains. Contracts are down 349 to 462 points are midday. A stronger dollar is not supportive.Â
The 7-day QPF shows precip totals of 1 to 4 inches for much of the southern half of the US over the next week.Â
The Cotlook A Index (old crop) was 500 points higher at 131.75 cents on 8/16. USDA’s AWP for cotton is 88.15 cents/lb. That will be updated, presumably sharply higher, this Thursday.
Oct 22 Cotton  is at 118.38, down 387 points,
Dec 22 Cotton  is at 113.36, down 349 points,
Mar 23 Cotton  is at 109.9, down 345 points
