CALGARY - ARC Resources Ltd. reported net income of $353 million during the second quarter, compared with net income of $396.1 million a year earlier.
That amounted to earnings per share of 62 cents during the quarter, compared with 68 cents during the same period last year.
The Calgary-based company says it generated funds from operations of $816 million during the period ended June 30, compared with $682.1 million during last year's second quarter.
ARC Resources says its second-quarter average production reached 390,465 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Earlier in July, ARC Resources announced its shareholders voted in favour of a plan that would see global energy heavyweight Shell PLC acquire the Calgary-based natural gas producer.
The deal, announced in April, is valued at $22 billion, accounting for the target company's debt.
