Dec cotton is off the high at midday, printed near 87.87 points, but is still trading stronger by 126 to 427 points in the front months.
Census data reported 703,536 bales of cotton were exported during the month of September. That was up 25% from September ’21, but was down 43% from August’s 1.2m bale export.
The Cotlook A Index was 92.20 cents/lb after a 3 cent increase on 11/2.The online cotton trading platform, The Seam, reported 357 bales were sold on 11/01 for an average gross price of 70.8 cents. USDA updated the AWP for cotton to 65.46 cents, down by 349 points.
