Midday cotton futures are down their 3 cent/lb limit at midday in the Dec and in the March contracts. The other nearby contracts are 103 to 250 points in the red.Â
Cotton export sales were 68,437 RBs for the week that ended 10/20. That was down from 84k RBs last week and from 360.7k RBs during the same week last year. Cotton exports were 177k RBs, for a MYTD total shipment of 2.547m RBs. That is up 32% from last year’s pace.Â
The Seam reported 1,584 bales were sold on 10/26 for an average gross price of 74.82 cents. The Cotlook A index for 10/27 was another 70 points lower to 95.25 cents/lb. USDA’s AWP was 4.81 cents weaker to 68.95 cents/lb for the week. Â
Dec 22 Cotton  is at 72.11, down 300 points,
Mar 23 Cotton  is at 71.81, down 300 points,
May 23 Cotton  is at 72.03, down 250 points
