Sonic Automotive operates through 2 reportable units: Franchised Dealerships & EchoPark. The Franchised Dealerships unit comprises retail automotive franchises selling new and used vehicles, replacement parts and vehicle repair and maintenance services, and finance and insurance products. The EchoPark unit, which operates independently from the franchised dealerships business, sells used cars and light trucks and arranges F&I product sales for the customers in pre-owned vehicle specialty retail locations.
