Neenah Paper, Inc is a Delaware corporation incorporated in April 2004 in contemplation of the spin-off by Kimberly-Clark Corporation. The Company is a producer of technical products and premium fine papers. The Company has two main businesses: technical products business and fine paper business. The corporate structure consists of Neenah Paper, Inc., and five wholly owned subsidiaries. Its technical products business is an international producer of transportation and other filter media and durable, saturated and coated substrates for a variety of end markets. The Company's technical products manufacturing facilities are located near Munich and Frankfurt, Germany and in Munising, Michigan. The Company's fine paper products include some of the recognized fine paper brands in North America. Its premium writing, text, cover and specialty papers are used in commercial printing and imaging applications for corporate identity packages, invitations, personal stationery and corporate annual reports, as well as, premium labels and luxury packaging. It sells its products mainly to authorized paper distributors, converters and specialty businesses. The Company's fine paper manufacturing facilities are located in Appleton, Neenah and Whiting, Wisconsin. Its technical products business competes in global markets with a number of large multinational competitors, including Ahlstrom Corporation, Munksjö, ArjoWiggins SAS, Wausau Paper Corp. and Hollingsworth & Vose Company. Its fine paper business competes directly in North America with Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. and other smaller companies. The Company operations are subject to federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances relating to environmental, health and safety matters.
