AmSurg Corp was formed in 1992 for the purpose of developing, acquiring and operating ambulatory surgery centers, or ASCs, in partnership with physicians. The Company through its wholly owned subsidiaries owns interests, primarily 51%, in limited partnerships and limited liability companies (LLCs) which own and operate ambulatory surgery centers (centers). The Company also has majority ownership interests in other limited partnerships and LLCs formed to develop additional centers. AmSurg surgery centers provide high quality, low cost surgical services with superior patient satisfaction. It is Partnering with more than 1,500 physicians at more than 220 outpatient surgery centers across the United States.
