Cotton Closes Off Highs, But Still in Black

Front month cotton prices were 28 to 104 points higher by the Wednesday close. The July contract was off it’s early session high by 136 points. 

The 5/11 Daily Spot Quotations report showed 310 bales were sold, bring the season’s total to 1.612m bales. The Cotlook A index dropped another 75 points to 161.70. USDA’s AWP is 8.5 cents higher at 147.1 cents/lb. 

Jul 22 Cotton  closed at 143.6, up 66 points,

Dec 22 Cotton  closed at 124.75, up 58 points,

Mar 23 Cotton  closed at 119.59, up 68 points
