Following the sharp rally on Wednesday, cotton prices are mixed. New crop is trading within 10 points of UNCH as July adds 138 to the upside. July cotton rallied the allotted limit on Wednesday. July then went home just 540 points under the May contract, which was also up triple digits on the day. New crop futures ended the session with 253 to 368 point gains. That left the Dec contract 197 points off the prior contract high.Â
The Cotlook A index was 154 cents/lb flat after a 50 point fade on 4/26. USDA’s AWP for cotton is 136.20 cents through Thursday.Â

Dec 22 Cotton  closed at 122.39, up 368 points, currently down 10 points
Mar 23 Cotton  closed at 117.78, up 294 points, currently up 2 points
