Overnight cotton trade left the board 69 to 90 points in the red approaching the day session of Thursday. Yesterday, cotton markets were well off their highs are the close, but maintained 55 to 71 point gains on the day. New crop cotton ended the day 7 to 21 points higher save for May ’23 which was 4 points in the red.Â
The 4/19 Cotlook A index was 180 points higher to 161.80 cents. The Seam reported 1,210 bales were sold online for an average gross price of $1.30 42/100 on 4/18. USDA’s AWP for cotton is 131.10 cents/lb, and will be updated after the close tomorrow. Â

Jul 22 Cotton  closed at 138.88, up 55 points, currently down 76 points
Dec 22 Cotton  closed at 121.02, up 7 points, currently down 60 points
