SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (AP) _ Plantronics Inc. (POLY) on Tuesday reported a loss of $11.2 million in its fiscal third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Santa Cruz, California-based company said it had a loss of 26 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 57 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 55 cents per share.
The headset maker posted revenue of $409.6 million in the period.
Plantronics expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.45 to $2.65 per share, with revenue in the range of $1.68 billion to $1.7 billion.
