Following a 3-day pullback, front month cotton futures are extending their bounce with triple digit gains through Wednesday’s midday. Prices are up 124 to 151 points so far. That has the March contract 323 points above the Monday low and 235 points under the high from last Wednesday. New crop futures are UNCH to 182 points higher, led by the thin Oct contract.
The Seam reported 16,598 bales were sold on 1/24 for an average price of 112.33 cents. The 1/25 DSQ showed 18,553 bales of cotton was sold at spot. The Cotlook A index was down by another 20 points to 134.60 cents/lb. The AWP for cotton is 110.44 cents.
