OTTAWA - Shopify Inc. reported a net profit of US$1.5 billion for its second quarter, up from a profit of US$906 million in the same quarter last year.
The company, which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, says its revenue totalled US$3.58 billion, up from US$2.68 billion in the second quarter of 2025.
The increase came as subscription solutions revenue totalled US$802 million, up from US$656 million a year ago.
Merchant solutions revenue rose to US$2.78 billion, up from US$2.02 billion.
It reported an operating income of US$488 million, up from US$291 million a year ago.
For the third quarter, the company says it expects its revenue to grow at a low-thirties percentage rate on a year-over-year basis.
