So far for the Thursday session nearby cotton prices are 35 to 99 points in the red. July is up by 34 points from the session low.Â
The weekly Export Sales report showed 246,817 RBs of cotton was booked during the week that ended 5/4. That was a 6% increase for the week and was well above the 27k RBs sold during the same week last year. Cotton shipments were 331k RBs setting the full season’s total to 8.58m RBs. That remains 4% behind last year’s pace.Â
The Cotlook A Index was down by 225 points to 93.45 cents for 5/10. The AWP for cotton is 66.69 cents/lb, through Thursday.Â
