Front month cattle futures are fading with $0.65 to $1.25 losses so far. Feeders are down by triple digits $1.72 to $2.25 on the board. USDA reported cash sales from $149 to $150 in the South on Thursday and at $153 in the North. The 11/8 CME Feeder Cattle Index was $176.30, down by 29 cents. Â Â
Wholesale Boxed Beef prices were lower in the AM report with a $3.72 drop in Choice and a $1.64 drop for Select. USDA estimated the week’s FI cattle slaughter through Thursday at 510k head, down 3k from last week, but 27k head above the same week last year’s pace. Â
