National Western Life Group, Inc. Announces 2022 Third Quarter Earnings

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 9, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Ross R. Moody, Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of National Western Life Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NWLI), announced today third quarter 2022 consolidated net earnings of $21.8 million, or $6.15 per diluted Class A common share, compared with consolidated net earnings of $39.8 million, or $11.27 per diluted Class A common share, for the third quarter of 2021. For the nine months ended September 30, 2022, the Company reported consolidated net earnings of $88.7 million, or $25.09 per diluted Class A common share, compared with $151.9 million, or $42.95 per diluted Class A common share, a year ago. The Company's book value per share as of September 30, 2022 was $532.84.
