Velan Inc was incorporated under the name Velan Engineering Ltd. on December 12, 1952 and continued under the Canada Business Corporations Act on February 11, 1977. It changed its name to Velan Inc. on February 20, 1981. The Company is a manufacturer of industrial valves. Its product lines are grouped into the broad categories of: gate, globe, and check valves; quarter-turn valves; specialty valves; and steam traps.
