Mercator Minerals Ltd was incorporated in the Province of British Columbia under the name Sultana Resources Corporation on March 5, 1984. On March 12, 2001, the Company changed its name to Mercator Minerals Ltd. It is a natural resource company engaged in the mining, development and exploration of its mineral properties in the United States of America and Mexico. The Company's principal assets are; its Mineral Park mine, a copper/molybdenum producing mine located near Kingman, Arizona; its El Pilar copper exploration and development project located in Northern Mexico; and its 100% owned El Creston molybdenum exploration project located in northern Mexico ("El Creston"). The Company operates in two geographic segments. Operation of mineral properties and extraction of copper and molybdenum occurs in the United States of America and exploration and development of mineral properties occurs principally in Mexico.
