Koza Altin Izletmeleri AS was incorporated on August 29, 1989. The Company is engaged in exploration and operations of gold mines. As at 31 December 2013, Company had 55 operating licenses and 359 exploration licenses in the Aegean and Marmara regions, the Black Sea region and Central and Eastern Anatolia, in Turkey. The Company produced approximately 349,900 ounces in 2013. The Company owns & operates, mines & projects including; Ovacık, Mastra, Çukuralan, Kaymaz, Söğüt, Çoraklıktepe, Kaymaz, Himmetdede and Mollakara. An Underground mine at Ovacık, a mine at Mastra where it utilise both underground and open pit mining methods, a mine at Çukuralan where it utilise both underground and open pit mining methods and an open pit mine in Kaymaz. Open pit production at Söğüt and Çoraklıktepe mines. The ore from Çoraklıktepe open pit has been transferring to Ovacık and Mastra process plants. The Company also has feasibility stage projects, Mollakara, located near Ağrı in the north-east of Turkey and projects in the middle of Turkey. The Company is currently focused on developing its resources in the exploration areas at Ovacık, Mastra, Kaymaz, Çukuralan, Himmetdede, Söğüt, and Diyadin. The Ovacık mine is located near Ovacık village in western Turkey, approximately 100 km north of İzmir. It is an underground complex. It is currently operating mainly on feed from the Çukuralan ore stockpile along with some materials from the Ovacık underground and Çoraklıktepe open pit. The mining operations at Mastra are located 80 km south of the Black Sea, in northeastern Turkey. Mastra comprises both open pit and underground mining operations. As of 31 December 2013, approximately 145,865 tonnes of Çoraklıtepe ore were transported to Mastra. The Çukuralan is in the Ovacık area and is located approximately 40km northwest of the Ovacık mine. This exploration property is low sulfidation, epithermal gold vein system. The Kaymaz project is located in north western Turkey, approximately 150 km from Ankara. The Kaymaz deposits comprise a number of different minerilasation styles, including manto-type mineralisation, quartz stock works, quartz veinlets and episodic brecciation adjacent to the granite dike. The Himmetdede project was discovered by Koza. The property is identified as thrust related low sulfidation epithermal mineralization. The Mollakara Project is approximately 55 km southeast of Ağrı adjacent to the village of Mollakara and is located in Diyadin area in Eastern Anatolia. It focuses on exploration activities at Mollakara.
