Husky Energy Inc was incorporated under the Business Corporations Act on June 21, 2000. The Company is a Canadian integrated oil and gas company. The Company has two operating segments: - Upstream and Downstream. Upstream segment includes exploration for, and development and production of, crude oil, bitumen, natural gas and NGLs - exploration and production and marketing of the Company's and other producers' crude oil, natural gas, NGLs, sulphur and petroleum coke, pipeline transportation, the blending of crude oil and natural gas, and storage of crude oil, diluent and natural gas - infrastructure and marketing. Its operations are located primarily in Western Canada, offshore East Coast of Canada, offshore China, offshore Indonesia and offshore Taiwan. The Downstream segment includes upgrading of heavy crude oil feedstock into synthetic crude oil upgrading, refining in Canada of crude oil and marketing of refined petroleum products including gasoline, diesel, ethanol blended fuels, asphalt and ancillary products, and production of ethanol and refining in the U.S. of primarily crude oil to produce and market gasoline, jet fuel and diesel fuels that meet U.S. clean fuels standards. The majority of Company's heavy oil assets are located in the Lloydminster region of Alberta and Saskatchewan, with lands consisting of approximately two million acres. Its operations are supported by a network of Husky owned oil treating facilities and pipelines that transport heavy crude oil from the field locations to the Husky Lloydminster asphalt refinery, the Husky Lloydminster Upgrader and the third-party pipeline systems at Hardisty, Alberta. The Company operates 85 facilities in the Western Canada northwest area. It operates 68 crude oil and 27 gas facilities in the Western Canada southeast region. It provides heavy crude oil feedstock to its Upgrader and its asphalt refinery, which are located at Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan.
