HRT Participacoes em Petroleo SA was incorporated on July 17, 2009. The Company is engaged in the oil and natural gas exploration and production. It also offers geological, geochemical and geophysical services, and professional advisory services. Its activities are focused on exploration and production of oil and natural gas, operating in the Solimões Sedimentary Basin, State of Amazonas, and in Namibia, the west coast of Africa and currently also in the Campos Basin off the state of Rio de Janeiro. The Company has a portfolio of 28 exploratory blocks onshore and offshore, of which 16 onshore blocks are in the Solimões Basin, for which it is the operator with a 55% stake. Also in Brazil, the Group holds a 10% interest in two exploration blocks in onshore basins, located in the Recôncavo Basin (BA), EspÃÂrito Santo (ES) and Rio do Peixe (PB). In Namibia, HRT Africa operates 10 offshore exploration blocks in the Walvis and Orange basins.
