Fingerprint Cards AB is a Swedish-based company that develops, markets, and sells and/or licenses complete fingerprint biometric core technology within the biometric market. Headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, the company develops electronic systems that determine personal identity by analyzing the unique fingertip pattern of individuals. Its product systems are comprised of microchips with algorithms that scan, store, and compare fingertip patterns without the use of a PC processor. The Company has developed two types of capacitive sensors: an extremely small swipe sensor, and an area sensor.
