CI Financial Corp was incorporated under the OBCA on November 12, 2008. The Company is engaged in the management and distribution of financial products and services, including mutual funds, segregated funds, financial planning, insurance, investment advice, wealth management and estate and succession planning. The Company's segments include Asset Management and Asset Administration. The Asset Management segment includes the operating results and financial position of CI Investments, CI Private Counsel LP and Marret which derive their revenues principally from the fees earned on the management of several families of mutual and segregated funds. The Asset Administration segment includes the operating results and financial position of AWM and its subsidiaries, including Assante Capital Management Ltd. and Assante Financial Management Ltd.
