China Oilfield Services Ltd was established on February 15, 1982. It is an integrated oilfield services provider in the offshore China market. Its services cover each phase of offshore oil and gas exploration, development and production. The Company is mainly engaged in the provision of offshore oilfield services including drilling services, well services, marine support and transportation services and geophysical and surveying services. The main activities of the subsidiaries comprise investment holding, sale of logging equipment, provision of drilling fluids services and provision of drilling and workover services. Its four core business segments are Geophysical and Surveying Services, Drilling Services, Well Services, Marine Support and Transportation Services. Geophysical and Surveying Services consist of marine seismic data collection, marine surveying, seismic data processing and interpretation, land-based engineering, underwater engineering etcetera. Drilling Services consist of offshore drilling, land drilling, drilling rigs management etcetera. Well Services consist of logging, drilling and completion fluids, directional drilling, cementing, well completion, well workover, oilfield production optimization etcetera. Marine Support and Transportation Services consist of anchoring, towing of drilling/utility rigs (vessels), offshore transportation, standby services of oil and natural gas fields, oil extraction, fire services, rescue, offshore pollution treatment etcetera. Its main clients include Petrochina, BP, Shell, ConocoPhillips and Chevron.
