Canadian Utilities Ltd was incorporated under the laws of Canada on May 18, 1927. The Company is engaged in utilities of pipelines, natural gas and electricity transmission and distribution, energy, power generation, natural gas gathering, processing, and storage and liquids extraction and technologies. The Utilities segment includes the regulated distribution of natural gas by ATCO Gas, the regulated transmission of natural gas by ATCO Pipelines, and the regulated distribution and transmission of electricity by ATCO Electric and its subsidiaries, Northland Utilities (NWT), Northland Utilities (Yellowknife) and Yukon Electrical. The Energy segment includes the non-regulated supply of electricity and cogeneration steam by ATCOPower, the regulated supply of electricity by ATCO Power, and the non-regulated gathering, processing, storage and transmission of natural gas, extraction of natural gas liquids, transmission of electricity and provision of industrial water services by ATCO Energy Solutions. The ATCO Australia segment includes the regulated distribution of natural gas by ATCO Gas Australia; the non-regulated supply of electricity and cogeneration steam by ATCO Power Australia and the non-regulated provision of information technology services by ATCO I-Tek Australia. The Company also develops, operates and supports information systems and technologies, and also provides billing services, payment processing, credit, collection, and call centre services.
