Boliden Ab (BDNNF)

Boliden AB processes and markets metals and mineral products such as copper and zinc, as well as gold, silver and lead. The Company conducts mining operations in Sweden and Canada, and also has smelting operations in Sweden. Its two business areas comprise mines and smelters. BA Mines extracts and then concentrates ore from eight mines in four mining areas, and also conducts extensive exploration activities. Boliden's five smelters, which come under BA Smelters, refine mined concentrates from Boliden's mines and external mines and also process secondary raw materials. The metals produced by the smelters are mainly sold to industrial customers in Europe.Its four mining areas produce ores containing zinc, copper, lead, gold and silver, along with smaller quantities of other metals. Boliden's metals are sold to industrial customers, but are also sold to base metal dealers and international metal stocks, such as the LME.
