American Shipping Co ASA was incorporated in Norway on June 30, 2005. The Company purchases and charters out product tankers, shuttle tankers and other vessels to operators and end users in the U.S. Jones Act market. The Company currently owns ten modern 46,000 dwt MR product tankers built at Aker Philadelphia Shipyard, a U.S. shipyard. All ten vessels are on long term fixed rate bareboat charters with Overseas Shipholding Group Inc.
