Alliance Grain Traders Inc. was incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario on July 2, 2009 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alliance Grain Traders Income Fund. The Company, through its subsidiaries in Canada, USA, China, Europe, Australia, South Africa, India and Turkey, is engaged in the business of sourcing and processing specialty crops and products, including lentils, peas, chickpeas, beans, canary seed, wheat, bulgur, rice and pasta. The Company is also engaged in the pulse and staple food processing and distribution, with processing facilities and sales offices located internationally. Pulse crops include peas, beans, lentils and chickpeas, which produce edible seeds called pulses. Pulses represent a major source of protein and fibre in addition to being non-GMO, gluten-free and nutrient-dense.
