Cotton Field with Drones
So far through Wednesday’s trading, front month cotton futures are 72 to 92 points in the red. New crop cotton is also off their intra day highs for midday, but prices are still 32 to 34 points in the black.
The Seam reported 37,418 bales were sold on 1/31 for an average 117.22 cents/lb. USDA’s 2/1 DSQ reported 37,643 bales were sold at spot, with a MY total of 1.274 million. The Cotlook A index was 141.1 cents/lb on 2/1 after another 340 point increase. The AWP for cotton is 112.43 cents/lb for the week through Thursday.
