Domestic cotton futures are mixed at midday after fading from initial Tuesday session gains to new highs. The March contract is down 262 points from the day’s earlier high and is now 82 points in the red. The other futures are still in the black for the day, with Dec up 89 points still.
The Seam reported 41,009 bales were sold for an average price of 116.35 cents on Friday. The Cotlook A index was back up by 185 points on 1/31 to 137.70 cents. The AWP for cotton is 112.43 cents/lb for the week through Thursday.
