On a per-share basis, the Seattle-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and restructuring costs, were 52 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 44 cents per share.
The real estate website operator posted revenue of $772 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $759.5 million.
