On a per-share basis, the Round Rock, Texas-based company said it had profit of 2 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 21 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 13 cents per share.
The military contractor posted revenue of $458.8 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $411.7 million.
For the current quarter ending in September, Kratos said it expects revenue in the range of $460 million to $480 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $1.75 billion to $1.81 billion.
