Catheter Precision, Inc. (NYSE: VTAK), a U.S.-based medical device company specializing in advanced technologies for the cardiac electrophysiology market, has announced the successful completion of the first LockeT procedures in Germany. The milestone took place at Zentralklinik Bad Berka, one of Thuringia's largest hospitals, known for its 20 clinics and specialist departments.
The physician team at Bad Berka has completed 10 cases to date, using LockeT to close single or multiple punctures with a single device per procedure. The cases involved sheath sizes ranging from 6F to 17Fr, underscoring the device's versatility and performance in various clinical scenarios.
"Germany is one of the largest markets in Europe and price-conscious, making LockeT a great solution," said David Jenkins, CEO of Catheter Precision. "As we continue our partnership with Bad Berka, we also look forward to expanding our footprint to other centers in Germany. We extend our sincere thanks to Professor J. Christoph Geller, Dr. Santi Raffa, Dr. Markus Frommhold -- the first LockeT user in Germany -- and Dr. Obaida Alothman for their invaluable support and feedback."
The company plans to leverage its early success in Germany to further penetrate the European market, positioning LockeT as an efficient, cost-conscious closure solution for cardiac electrophysiology procedures.
