Arqit Expands Encryption Capabilities with Acquisition of Ampliphae's Technology Assets

Arqit Quantum Inc. (ARQQ), a global player in quantum-safe encryption, has completed the acquisition of the product portfolio and intellectual property of Ampliphae, a company known for its expertise in encryption analytics and cyber risk management. Shares are up 27% today following the announcement.

The acquisition strengthens Arqit's cybersecurity offerings by integrating Ampliphae's Encryption Intelligence technologies into its suite of services. Ampliphae's tools are designed to give organizations full visibility into the encryption protocols they rely on, automatically pinpointing weaknesses and areas vulnerable to both conventional and quantum computing threats.

Arqit plans to make Ampliphae's advisory services available to government and enterprise clients worldwide. These services allow organizations to assess their current encryption strategies, identify potential vulnerabilities, and develop efficient pathways toward adopting quantum-safe encryption that are essential in preparing for the growing risks posed by emerging technologies.

The move aligns with Arqit's broader mission to deliver next-generation encryption solutions that protect sensitive data across cloud, edge, IoT, and hybrid networks. With this deal, Arqit adds Ampliphae's analytics technology to its SKA-Platform, which creates locally generated encryption keys on endpoint devices using lightweight software.
