DALLAS (AP) _ Blucora Inc. (BCOR) on Tuesday reported a loss of $21.8 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Dallas-based company said it had a loss of 46 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, came to 20 cents per share.
The owner of TaxAct tax prep software and the HD Vest financial services firm posted revenue of $171.7 million in the period.
Blucora expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.75 to $1.84 per share, with revenue in the range of $909 million to $915 million.
Blucora shares have risen 27% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 33% in the last 12 months.
