Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk was established based on notarial deed No. 128 dated September 24, 1991 of Imas Fatimah, S.H. The Company provides telecommunication services to the individual and home customers, companies, and institutions in Indonesia. It operates through four segments: Personal, Home, Corporate, and Others. Its telecommunications business portfolio encompasses fixed wireline services, fixed wireless services, cellular services, internet and data communication services, network services, interconnection services, and ancillary services. The company offers fixed wireline services, including plain old telephone services, value-added services, Intelligent Network services and session initiation protocol services. The Fixed Wireless Services uses limited-mobility CDMA technology and are marketed under under the Telkom Flexi or Flexi trademarks. It also offers Cellular Services, which include postpaid and prepaid services represented by simPATI and Kartu As. Its network services comprise of satellite transponder leasing, satellite broadcasting, very small aperture terminal, audio distribution, and satellite-based and terrestrial-based leased lines. In addition, the Company offers Internet and data communication services, which include broadband Internet; cellular data communication; SMS services; WiFi/hotspot; virtual private network; voice over Internet protocol; dial-up Internet access; multimedia telecommunications services; metro-network-based connectivity services; a data communications service that lets corporate customers to connect their headquarters with branch offices; and a data network solution based on Internet protocol. Further, it provides wholesale rental of port remote access servers to Internet service providers, content service providers, and corporate customers; interconnection services to other telecommunications operators; pay TV services and a television service accessed through the Internet; building management services; and ancillary services, including the lease and/or supply of base transceiver stations to other cellular operators. As of December 31, 2013, it had approximately 175.5 million total subscribers in service, comprising 131.5 million cellular subscribers through Telkomsel, 9.4 million subscribers on its fixed wireline network, 6.8 million subscribers on its fixed wireless network and 27.8 million broadband subscribers.
