Synodon, Inc. is an advanced remote sensing company which provides various datasets to energy companies. The company has developed a proprietary platform technology called realSens capable of measuring small ground-level gas concentrations from an aircraft flying uo to 300 metres in altitiude. The realSens technology development was initiated by Synodon Inc as a result of the success of the MOPITT satellite instrument. Synodon Inc acquired the rights to expand the technology MOPITT validated in Space to commercial devices and services. The realSens&trade project is Synodon's first undertaking in this respect and aims primarily at creating an industry standard for the remote sensing of hydrocarbon leaks and emissions.
