Philex Mining Corp was incorporated on July 19, 1955 in the Philippines. The Company is engaged in the exploration, development, and utilization of mineral, oil and gas, and coal resources in the Philippines. The Company operates in two business segments: the metals segment and the energy and hydrocarbon segment. The Company's projects include Silangan Project, Kalayaan Project, Bulawan Project, Sibutad Project, Bulog Project, Cayas Project and East Patag. The Company, and its wholly owned subsidiaries Philex Gold Philippines, Inc. (PGPI) and Silangan Mindanao Exploration Co., Inc. (SMECI) and its subsidiary, Silangan Mindanao Mining Co., Inc. (SMMCI), are primarily engaged in the exploration, development and utilization of mineral resources. The Company primarily produces copper concentrates, containing copper, gold and silver, as well as petroleum and coal.
