Pt Gajah Tunggal Tbk (PTGJF)

PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk was established in 1951 as bicycle tire manufacturer and over the years, expanded its production capacity and diversified initially into the manufacture of motorcycle tires and tubes and eventually into the manufacture of passenger and commercial vehicle tires. The Company owns and operates integrated tire manufacturing facility in Indonesia. The Company's reportable segments are: Manufacturing of tyre (tyre), Manufacturing of tyre cord (tyre cord), Manufacturing of synthetic rubber (synthetic rubber) and Others. The Company started producing motorcycle tires in 1973 and began manufacturing bias tires for passenger and commercial vehicles in 1981. In 1993, the Company started producing and selling radial tires for passenger cars and light trucks. In 2010 the Company initiated the development of TBR tire production capability. The Company develops, manufactures and sells radial tires, bias tires, motorcycle tires, inner tubes, flaps and rim tape, the Company also manufacture and sell tire cords and synthetic and processed rubber, which are key components used in the manufacture of tires. The Company operates various plants in Indonesia where it manufactures passenger car radial tires, tire and bus bias tires, motorcycle tires, TBR tires, and inner tubes (both for motorcycle and automotive as well as tire accessories such as flaps, rim tape and O-rings) with supporting facilities that process reclaimed rubber. The Company also operates two tire-related products plants where it manufactures tire cord and synthetic rubber. The tire and tire-related products plants are located in Tangerang and Serang. The Company also owns approximately 100 hectares land in Karawang, which is planned to be partly used for proving ground for the testing of its tire designs and the remaining is planned to be used for the expansion and diversification of its manufacturing lines.
